Weekend Preview: Gliding into 2025 for CCHA Teams
Seven CCHA teams will play 10 contests over a four-day span, including a pair of holiday tournaments. Michigan Tech hosts the 58th Great Lakes Invitational on Sunday and Monday, which includes No. 1 Michigan State, No. 6 and Northern Michigan. Ferris State faces host Wisconsin in the Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off on Saturday, while Bowling Green hosts RIT on Sunday afternoon.

The Bulldogs head to Milwaukee's Fiserv Forum on Saturday to begin play in the Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off against host Wisconsin. Ferris State plays at 2:30pm ET on Sunday no matter the outcome of their Saturday game and will face either UConn or Alaska. The Badgers and Bulldogs have split their previous eight meetings (3-3-2), dating back to 1980.
RIT (4-14-1) vs Bowling Green (7-7-2)

Bowling Green hosts RIT in the return trip to a split home-and-home series from early October. The Falcons took the first meeting, 3-2 in overtime. BGSU leads the all-time series 5-1-1, with the first meeting coming in 2006. The Falcons look to extend their winning streak to three on Sunday afternoon.

The Huskies and Spartans co-host the 58th Great Lakes Invitational in Grand Rapids this weekend, with the semifinals taking place on Sunday and the third place and championship game on Monday. Tech won last year's title in a shootout over Michigan State. The Huskies are 11-5-1 all-time against Western Michigan, but the Broncos won the most recent meeting, 8-1, in the GLI two years ago.

The Tommies and Huskies wrap up their season series on Sunday afternoon in St. Cloud, following a 1-0 SCSU win at St. Thomas in early October. St. Cloud State comes into the weekend ranked No. 12 in the nation, while the Tommies are looking to build off a 4-1 victory at Michigan Tech in their most recent outing. SCSU owns a 6-1-0 lead in the all-time series, with St. Thomas' lone win coming last season at Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.
