Over the January 17th to 19th weekend, the Soo U11A Greyhounds traveled to Cambridge, Ontario, to compete in the 2025 Cambridge Roadrunners 29th Annual Girls’ Hockey Tournament. The team came into the tournament with high hopes, looking to showcase their skills against strong competition. Over the course of the event, the Greyhounds played four games, finishing with a solid 2-1-1 record. The team demonstrated both offensive and defensive prowess, scoring 12 goals while allowing only 8 in their matches.
Despite their strong performance throughout the tournament, the Greyhounds’ run ended in a tough 1-0 loss to the West Seneca Wings in the bronze medal game. The match was a hard-fought battle, with both teams giving their all, but ultimately, the Greyhounds fell just short of a medal. Despite the result, the team left the tournament with valuable experience and a sense of accomplishment from their overall performance. The Soo U11A Greyhounds continue to show promise, and the tournament served as a stepping stone for their growth and development throughout the season.
