The Sault College Cougars Football program is gearing up for its highly anticipated inaugural season, and as part of the build-up, the team is inviting athletes from across the globe to attend their main tryout camp. The camp will take place from March 28th to 30th, 2025, at the Northern Community Centre in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
As the Cougars prepare for their first official season on the field, this camp serves as an essential step toward building a competitive and talented roster. The Cougars are inviting committed athletes and tryout players from not just Ontario, but also from across Canada, including Alberta and British Columbia, as well as international talent from the United States and Australia. With such a diverse group of athletes, the tryout camp is expected to be an exciting and competitive environment.
“This is a major milestone for our program and an exciting time for the city and community of Sault Ste. Marie,” said Cougars Football Head Coach Orazietti. “The upcoming tryout camp is an opportunity for us to connect with top-tier athletes from around the world and begin building the foundation of what we hope will be a very successful inaugural season and many more to come.”
The three-day camp will feature a series of drills, training sessions, assessments, and final day scrimmage to help evaluate athletes’ skills, fitness levels, and potential fit for the team. Whether it’s their agility, strength, or football IQ, athletes will have the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of the Cougars’ coaching staff.
The Sault College Cougars Football program is committed to building not just a team, but a community of athletes who are passionate about the sport, driven to compete at the highest level, and ready to represent Sault Ste. Marie with pride.
