
National Hockey League Central Scouting released its final 2025 draft rankings Tuesday, April 15th and five from the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) are among those listed.
Included in the CJHL contingent is goaltender Trenten Bennett of the Kemptville 73s (CCHL).
Bennett was slotted 17th overall among all netminders.
Next was goalkeeper Noah Tegelaar of the Collingwood Blues (OJHL), who was ranked 29th overall.
Tegelaar starred for the Blind River Beavers last season and was named the NOJHL’s Rookie of the Year and a 1st Team All-Star.
He led the NOJHL in wins (27); goals-against average (2.02); save percentage (.928) and shutouts (6) in 2023-24.
There were also three CJHL skaters on the final NHLCS rankings list. They were all tabbed as potential seventh round selections.
They are left wing Shaan Kingwell, of the Navan Grads (CCHL); defenceman Jonathan Kapageridis of the Cobourg Cougars (OJHL) and centre Mikhail Zakharov, who skated with the King Rebellion (OJHL).
The trio was rated 196th; 211th and 222nd respectively.
The 2025 NHL Draft goes June 27-28 and will be based in Los Angeles.
