As the Canadian Junior Hockey League enters the 2025 portion of its season, each of nine-member league that make-up the CJHL sees a number of its respective teams, players and goaltenders all having produced at a solid clip.
The Greater Sudbury Cubs (NOJHL) currently boast the top winning percentage in the CJHL at .903.
Sitting second in that department nationally are the Edmundston Blizzard (MHL).
Edmundston has performed at an .875 clip entering the New Year.
Winners of 15 consecutive contests, the Melfort Mustangs (SJHL) have played .867 hockey to date.
Offensively, Greater Sudbury’s Lucas Signoretti leads all skaters in scoring with 65 points, on 34 tallies and 31 assists. His nine game-winning goals also pace the pack in the CJHL.
Colton Smoth of the Leamington Flyers (OJHL) is No. 2 in the nation in scoring with 62 points to his credit.
He’s buried a CJHL-high 36 markers, to go along with 26 helpers.
Then there is Xavier Labbé, who skates for the Condors du Cégep Beauce-Appalaches (LHJAAAQ), who is the third-member of the current CJHL 60-plus-point club with 61.
Labbé has found the back of the net 26 times and has helped set-up 35 tallies.
Among netminders, Marcus Vandenburg of the Leamington Flyers (OJHL) leads the way in terms of goals-against average at 1.27.
After him is fellow OJHL stopper, Noah Tegellar of the Collingwood Blues, who sports a GAA of 1.46.
Wrapping up the Top 3 in the CJHL in average is the Winkler Flyers (MJHL) Liam Ernst.
He sits with a 1.56 goals-against average entering January.
