The Algoma Thunderbirds are proud to announce that Felisity McDonald from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario is staying local to represent her hometown on the varsity wrestling team this fall!
A graduate of St. Mary’s College, Felisity brings four years of competitive experience with both St. Mary’s Wrestling Team and the Algoma Wrestling Club. She’s competed at NOSSA, OFSAA, and Provincials, and was recognized as the Outstanding Female Wrestler for her performance and leadership.
“I will bring a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence to the Thunderbird Varsity Team. I believe in pushing myself both physically and mentally,” says McDonald.
Felisity is entering Algoma University’s Law and Justice program, earning Honour Roll status in Grades 9 and 10, as well as Honour Roll with Distinction in Grade 11—showcasing her ability to balance academics and athletics with excellence.
Already familiar with the Thunderbird culture and camaraderie, Felisity knew it was the right fit.
“I enjoy the team atmosphere as I have already met the current varsity athletes, and I get to stay in my hometown.”
