saultsports On Thursday, May 22nd, Ontario University Athletics (OUA) officially released the 2025 soccer schedule for its member institutions, including the Algoma Thunderbirds. The upcoming season is set to kick off on August 30th, marking the beginning of what promises to be a competitive and exciting campaign for both the women’s and men’s teams.
The Thunderbirds will take to their home turf at Superior Heights for six games during the regular season, giving fans in Sault Ste. Marie plenty of opportunities to support their teams. In addition to their home stretch, the squads will also hit the road for six away matches, traveling across Ontario to take on conference rivals throughout the fall.
With balanced home and away fixtures, the 2025 season offers the Thunderbirds a solid platform to build on past performances, push for playoff contention as anticipation builds around the new season.
