The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) has unveiled the 2025 – 2026 conference schedule, as announced by the league office on Tuesday, May 13th. Each League member will play a full 26-game league schedule.
The Lakers will open league play on October 24-25 with a two-game series against the Bowling Green Falcons in Taffy Abel Arena for Great Lake State Weekend.
LSSU will then resume CCHA action on November 7-8 when they travel to Minnesota to face the Bemidji State Beavers before hosting Minnesota State the following weekend. The Lakers will then travel downstate to Big Rapids to take on the Ferris State Bulldogs on November 21-22 before returning home to battle Augustana a week later. LSSU closes out the 2025 portion of its league schedule on December 5-6 at St. Thomas.
After the holiday break, the Lakers will resume CCHA play by battling for the Cappo Cup when they face the Northern Michigan Wildcats for a Saturday-Sunday series to open the New Year on January 3-4, and they will return to the standard Friday-Saturday format for the remainder of the season afterwards.
After a bye week, LSSU will travel to the Buckeye State to face Bowling Green on January 16-17, and they will follow that up with a matchup against the Tommies of St. Thomas in Sault Ste. Marie on January 23-24. The Lakers will then close out January by traveling to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to battle the Augustana Vikings. The Lakers will then spend a week idle on a bye before a Valentine’s Day Weekend home series against the Michigan Tech Huskies. LSSU will then travel over to Marquette to close out the Cappo Cup Series at Northern Michigan on February 20-21 before closing out the regular season with a home series against Ferris State on February 27-28.
The first round of the CCHA Mason Cup Playoffs will take place on the weekend of March 6 with a beset-of-three series. The Semifinals will take place on Saturday, March 14 with the Mason Cup Final on Friday, March 20, 2026. All Mason Cup Playoff games will be hosted by the higher seed.
