April 12, 2025 — On day two of the 2025 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Priority Draft, the Owen Sound Attack added a promising young forward to their ranks, selecting 16-year-old Adam Pszeniczny in the eighth round, 148th overall.
The 6-foot-1, 170-pound winger showcased his offensive prowess throughout the 2024–2025 season with the Soo U16 AAA Greyhounds in the GNU18HL, where he was a standout presence on the ice. Hailing from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Pszeniczny appeared in 30 regular season games, tallying an impressive 29 goals and 35 assists for a total of 64 points, while also picking up 32 penalty minutes.
In the postseason, Pszeniczny continued to perform under pressure, adding three goals in four playoff games held in Timmins, Ontario. His strong season earned him a spot on Team NOHA at the prestigious 2025 OHL Cup in Toronto, where he added a goal over four games against the best U16 talent in the province.
A player known for his hockey IQ, strong puck control, and nose for the net, Pszeniczny brings a competitive edge and offensive flair that will be welcomed by the Owen Sound Attack as they look to build their future core.
The Attack’s investment in Pszeniczny reflects their commitment to adding size, skill, and scoring potential to their forward group. With continued development, Adam Pszeniczny could become a key contributor at the OHL level in the seasons to come.
Pszeniczny told Saultsports that “It is a proud moment for myself and my family. It is an honour to be chosen by such a great organization. It is honestly a dream come true and was truly a surreal moment. I am looking forward to training camp where I can showcase my size, speed and hockey IQ. Owen Sound will be getting a smart two way forward that plays both ends of the ice.”
Adam’s older brother, Stephen was also drafted to the OHL in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection Draft by the Niagara Ice Dogs in the 15th round with the 299th overall pick.
