saultsports SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) announced Monday that the Iroquois Falls Storm forward trio of Jordan Mayo; Carter Jamieson and Landon Trethewey have been named its final 2024-25 regular season BrokerLink Insurance 3 Stars of the Week, which concluded March 16.
Jordan Mayo, (F) Iroquois Falls Storm: Collecting a combined six points in two games for Iroquois Falls, the contributions of the 16-year-old from Kingston, Ont., helped the Storm qualify for the playoffs.
In all, Mayo tallied twice and helped set-up four others to finish the regular season riding a seven-game point streak.
Topping all NOJHL rookies with 24 goals, the product of both the Greater Kingston Gaels U16 AAA and CIHA Voyageurs U16 Prep programs, Mayo was also third in offensive production among first-year skaters with 51 in 50 outings.
Carter Jamieson, (F) Iroquois Falls Storm: Providing another six-point effort for Iroquois Falls, Jamieson supplied back-to-back multi-point efforts.
Hailing from Highland Township, Mich., the 19-year-old had three goals, including a game-winner, and assisted on three more as part of road wins at Powassan and French River.
Suiting up for the Victory Honda U18 AAA side last season, Jamieson had points in five straight down the stretch for the Storm, helping them clinch a postseason berth.
Landon Trethewey, (F) Iroquois Falls Storm: Trethewey scored in each of the road match-ups versus the Voodoos and Rapids and also dished out four helpers, joining Mayo and Jamieson with six-point weekends.
Playing his minor hockey previously with the Central Ontario Wolves, the 20-year-old, who hails from Fenelon Falls, Ont., was a key cog in his club’s race to the playoffs.
In the final seven games for Iroquois Falls, in which they went 6-0-1-0, Trethewey averaged two points-per-game, with 14 overall, on five goals and nine assists.
