Victoria Elliott put on a stellar performance, netting her first hat trick of the 2024-2025 season to lead the Korah Colts to a 5-2 victory over the CASS Huskies.
Elliott opened the scoring in the first period with a shorthanded goal, her sixth of the season, beating Huskies netminder Cassidy Cooke to give the Colts a 1-0 lead.
Early in the second period, Addy Atkinson doubled the Korah advantage, scoring her first goal of the season to make it 2-0. However, the Huskies answered back with their own shorthanded effort, as Riley Reed found the back of Korah goalie Lilianna Sawchyn’s net for her fourth of the season, cutting the deficit to 2-1.
Macey Karhi played a key role for CASS, registering her second point of the night by scoring the tying goal early in the third period, her second of the season, knotting the game at 2-2.
Elliott then took over the game, scoring her second goal unassisted to restore Korah’s lead at 3-2. She wasn’t done there, as she set up Addy Atkinson for her second goal of the night, giving the Colts a 4-2 advantage.
To cap off her dominant performance, Elliott completed her hat trick with Korah’s fifth goal of the contest, sealing a 5-2 win for the Colts.
Next action for the Colts will be on Tuesday, February 4th at the Rankin Arena in a 3:30 p.m puck drop while the Huskies next opponents will be the Superior Heights Steelhawks in Thessalon on Friday, February 7th at 7:00 p.m.
