SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) announced Friday that 122 of its alumni attended schools and played for NCAA Division III men’s hockey programs during the 2024-25 season.
Adding in the league alumni who attended U SPORTS and NCAA D-I schools, it brings the totals of past NOJHL players who are furthering their educations and continuing their playing careers to 168 from the recently completed campaign alone.
“Credit goes to our student-athletes, who continually strive to advance to the next level while committing to academics to aid in their future goals in life,” stated NOJHL commissioner Robert Mazzuca.
“The ever-increasing numbers of our alumnus moving on to higher levels shows the continuing efforts of our member clubs, both on and off the ice, is paying dividends in developing our players and providing them viable opportunities in whatever avenue they choose to proceed, once their days in the NOJHL conclude,” added Mazzuca.
